Magical Worlds

The theme at the Sir Stampalot blog this month is Magical Worlds. I love anything to do with fairies (hence the name!) so I used a Personal Impressions Fairy stamp, and foliage from a Creative Expressions set. I first created the background using Ink Dusters and Distress Inks. Then stamped the silhouettes. I finished off by adding some Cosmic Shimmer and glitter.

I am also entering this into the Rainbow Lady's challenge which is Some Enchanted Evening.

Gingersnap Creations - Scene Stamping

The Random Redhead Challenge at Gingersnap Creations is Scene Stamping - which is one of my favourites. I used the Hobby Art Tuscan set with Aquamarkers to create the card. I then took the design over the edge of the card. A nice, simple card!

Craft Room DT Call

There is a new Challenge Blog coming - Craft Room Challenge. They are currently calling for Design Team Members (only 24 hours to go!), so I have decided to enter. Here are three pieces which I feel reflect my style. I would love to be part of this design team - to share ideas, inspire others and above all have fun with craft!

Grungy Monday Entry - Colourblocking

I decided to have a go at the colour blocking technique for the Grungy Monday challenge. I used foam and Distress Inks to stamp the colour, then embossed the black squares with UTEE. I then used Tim's stamps and embossed the whole tag with the bingo embossing folder.

Another Vintage ATC

Well now we have got over the blogger disaster it is great to be back! Im still busy with many different projects - coming soon! Here is another ATC I have made for the UK Stampers Swap. I used part of a large stamp, coloured with Distress Inks. I then triple embossed it with clear powder, cracked the melted powder and added more distress inks to the cracks.

I have also signed up for Nancy's Parisian Dreams course at the Sugar Lump Studios. I can't wait to get started on the fabric book. So watch this space for pictures!!

WOYWW - ATCS and Charms!

Better late than never! My blogger seemed to be playing up when it came to uploading images today! Well I have so many projects on the go at the moment they are spread around the room, not just on my work desk! Actually on my desk are the charms I'm making for the Art4Mail Group Swap and ATCs for the Lots to Do Forum swap.

A great Blog Giveaway from Raeven's Nest

I have just found ( I don't know what took me so long!) this great blog by Raeven and she is giving away an amazing blog candy. The draw is the 20th May, so go over and have a look at her amazing work.

A for Around the World

The Alphabet Challenge is back to the beginning again and this time it is A for Around the World. I made this card for my Dad back in January this year but never blogged it, so I though it would make a perfect entry! I used Craft Individuals stamps and Distress Ink. The top image is triple embossed and cracked to look vintage.

Fabric Postcards

These are the first ever fabric postcards I have made and were a bit of a labour of love! So I hope I'm on the right track. These are for Lisa Vollrath's Yahoo group swap and the theme was Spring.

I used transfer paper to print images onto linen and then added embroidery and embellishments.

Back Home and catching up!

Well I've had a lovely few days in Dorset with my parents and my son. The weather was amazing! and of course I managed to find a craft shop in Swanage!!

This is just a very quick catch up as I have so many projects on the go and there are some brilliant challenges for May. I was also very lucky to win with my Easter Bonnet tag (see previous post) at Bella Creations. I have also been accepted into the Yahoo VPI group which is also very exciting as the ladies there create some amazing work.

A website that is worth looking at for inspiration is Pinterest. It is a bit like a digital pinboard allowing you to collect and share images that inspire you.

I hope to have some fabric postcards to show you soon which I am making for Lisa Vollrath's swap.

Enjoy the rest of the bank holiday!!
